AIICT
At AIICT, we know that there is more than one way to gain industry-relevant skills; whether that includes previous study or previous work experience. That’s why we offer several ways to recognise this experience, to help you fast-track your studies, and get you into your dream job faster.
The Federal Government has developed a system called the Unique Student Identifier (USI) to help Australian students' gain access to their results when they complete a nationally recognised course, or part thereof. The USI is generated online, does not cost anything and will be recorded whenever you enrol in a nationally recognised VET course.
We have a mix of both nationally recognised courses and non-accredited training options. Nationally recognised qualifications can be identified with the Nationally Recognised Training logo.
All of our courses require students to be 17 years or older and have adequate language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course. Beyond minimum entry requirements, it’s important that this is the right course for you. Speak with one of our Course Advisors to ensure this course delivers the learning experience and outcome you are looking for. We call this our “right course, right fit” policy.
Online study is a lot like regular study, just without the face-to-face element.
Much like regular study, you will still have a trainer. Your trainer is a professional in their field and will use their industry skills and experience to help you navigate through your course and add context to your studies. Despite not being face-to-face, you are still able to set up a regular time to meet with your trainer via Skype or email or SMS.
You will have 24/7 access to an interactive, secure e-Learning platform called StudySpot. StudySpot is where you will be able to view your webinars, access your learning materials, contribute to discussion forums and submit your assessments. You will also have unlimited access to a wide repository of learning materials through LinkedIn Learning and Microsoft Learning Academy to support your studies.
The length of course will change per course and depending on the number of dedicated hours you set aside each week. For our nationally recognised Diplomas we recommend that you set aside 20 hours per week for your studies; this includes course work, trainer support time and assessments. However, these timeframes may vary depending on individual experience. The total length of our Diplomas is 18 months and the length of our Certificates is 12 months.
Our Certified Cyber Security Professional can be completed in 6 months with 15 hours of dedicated study each week, while our Certified Data Science Professional), can be completed in 6 months with 16-20 hours per week of study. You have up to 12 months access to complete our non-accredited courses.
If you meet the entry requirements to study a course, you can complete your enrolment in 3 simple stages.
Stage One: Register your interest for a course. If you request more information, you will receive a phone call from one of our course advisors. If you have selected 'Secure your seat' you can then move onto your online enrolment.
Stage Two: You will need to complete a Student Enrolment Agreement, a Pre Enrolment Profile, and a Capability Quiz, as well as provide any supporting documentation and identification to validate your application.
Stage Three: You will complete a Kick Start Workshop to get started in the course. If all your documentation is in order you will then be enrolled and ready to start studying!
