Azure Dev Tools for Teaching provides developer tools and learning resources that students need to build their cloud-based skills. It also allows students to build, deploy, and manage applications with comprehensive Azure cloud services. Whether you’re a student getting started, or just interested in building cloud-based skills in your community, this platform has got the cloud development resources you need. Azure based tools and environments are profoundly used during the AIICT learning cycle and assist the students in becoming familiar with the Microsoft Azure environment utilised in the IT industry.

AIICT Students will be provided with exclusive access to Azure services. Azure for Students provides students with $100 credit for 12 months and access to more than 25 free services, including compute, network, storage, and databases. It also provides access to all Azure products expressly intended to support education or teaching, non-commercial research, or efforts to design, develop, test, and demonstrate software applications. The subscription provides students with access to certain Software Developer Tools, available to download for free. Students also have access to Microsoft Learn, a free online learning platform that allows you to learn Azure technologies at your own pace. MSSA-AU is a full-time, 17-week, funded technical training program that incorporates live instruction, hands-on virtual labs, real-life application scenarios, and opportunities for certifications to prepare transitioning service members and former serving/already separated members for challenging tech jobs in any industry.

Building Victoria’s digital workforce

DDLS and the Australian Institute of ICT (AIICT) were recently successful in becoming an approved training provider of the Victorian Digital Jobs Program which is a 6-month program that takes experienced mid-career Victorians and helps them transition into digital careers.

The demand for digital skills in Victorian businesses is growing rapidly. The Victorian Government’s Digital Jobs program is building a new talent pool of great people with digital skills to help meet this demand.

Over the next three years up to 5,000 experienced and highly capable mid-career workers will be supported to transition into digital careers.

Participants will complete a 12-week industry-backed training program, followed by a 12-week paid digital internship, all while being supported with regular mentoring.
